To prevent windows lockouts the following can be done:

  • Delete Internet Explorer browsing history
  • Run the following:
    • Open Start --> Search filed--> Type in Run --> rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, KRShowKeyMgr --> Delete
  • Disconnect network shares
  • Change password
